You may not have a neat name for what is happening.

Perhaps you feel anxious, low or overwhelmed. You may be repeating patterns you understand intellectually but cannot seem to shift. You might be questioning who you are, carrying the effects of earlier experiences, or simply sensing that the way you have been living no longer fits. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, listen differently and discover what wants to change.

Approach

A conversation that includes more of you.

Our relationship is at the heart of the work. Alongside conversation, we may pay attention to the body, imagination, dreams, images or the natural world—always in a way that feels relevant and at your pace. The aim is not to fix you, but to help you meet yourself with greater honesty, compassion and choice.

  • 01
    A relational, psychosynthesis-informed approach

Psychosynthesis considers the whole person rather than treating a difficulty in isolation. Our relationship provides a steady, collaborative space where your experience can be met with curiosity and care.

  • 02
Space for the body, imagination and inner life

Alongside talking, we may notice physical sensations, images, dreams and emotions when they offer another way into what is happening. You are always invited, never pushed, and we work at a pace that feels manageable.

  • 03
Thoughtful reflection between sessions, when useful

When it supports the work, I may suggest a simple question, observation or practice to carry between sessions. This is an invitation to stay connected to the process, not homework to complete perfectly.

Ways to work

A regular space for meaningful work.

We meet for 60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly. Sessions can be in person in South London, online or by phone. Together we shape a way of working that responds to you rather than forcing your experience into a formula.

About Magnus

Therapy grounded in relationship and lived experience.

I am a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, clinically accredited with UKCP and registered with BACP. I have worked as a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse for 25+ years and continue in nursing alongside my therapy practice. I began therapy training 17 years ago, after 12 years in palliative care, and these two strands of experience have informed one another ever since. This work has deepened my respect for the complexity of being human—for uncertainty, humour, tenderness, resilience and questions without quick answers. I bring that experience into a warm, creative and attentive therapeutic relationship.

An inclusive practice

You do not need to fit a category to belong here.

I work with adults across a wide range of ages, ethnicities, genders and sexualities, and I have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients. Identity can be central, peripheral or not the focus at all. What matters is that you can bring the parts of yourself that are relevant to our work.
